Irrigation Strategy

corn example - during main part of irrigation season a couple of weeks before VT and on, treat top 4ft of soil as plant water bank, irrigate for sandy loam (adjusted for different soil types) such that water balance does not get below 75%, then gradually decrease target from R2 stage by 5% every 10 days
